Buttercream Frosting Chocolate Easter Cupcakes

Ingredients : Chocolate Cupcakes

1 egg

1cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour

1/2teaspoon salt

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa

1/2cup boiling water

1/2cup butter or margarine, softened

1/2teaspoon vanilla

3/4 cup granulated sugar

Buttercream Frosting :

3cups powdered sugar

1teaspoon vanilla

1/3 cup butter, softened

3 to 5 tablespoons milk

Easter candy decorations and sprinkles, as desired

Directions :

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two standard muffin tins with 24 decorative paper liners to match your theme.

Now in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle, flour, mix sugar, baking powder, cocoa, baking soda and salt on low speed until well combined.

Now add milk, eggs, oil and vanilla extract. Until batter is smooth mix on medium speed. Pour in boiling water and carefully mix on low until just incorporated.

Divide batter among muffin cups. Until a tester comes out clean, bake cupcakes for about 18 minutes. Before frosting cool completely on a wire rack.
