How To Make A Jam Tart

If you follow these steps you will be making a beautiful tart.

You will need/Ingredients

  • 4 sheets of frozen shortcrust pastry, thawed
  • Cookie cutters
  • 1 egg-White
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/4 cups of raspberry jam
  • 1/4 cups of marmalade jam
  • 1/4 cups of blood orange jam
  • Patty pans
  • Oven


1. Carefully preheat the oven to moderate 180c.

2. Lightly grease 2×12-hole shallow patty pans.

3. Slowly cut 24×6.5cm rounds from pastry. Press into prepared patty pans.

4. Carefully cut remaining pastry using 3cm cookie cutters.

5. Place on baking paper-lined tray, brush with egg-white. Sprinkle with sugar.

6. Bake tart cases and shapes for 9 minutes until golden.

7. Spoon 2 teaspoons of jam into the tart cups. Top with shapes.

You can use any jam you desire.
