- After completing his formal studies, he moved from Bihar to Bengaluru, where he began working as an automobile executive at a private firm.
- In 2019, Atul married Nikita Singhania after meeting her on a matchmaking website.
- In early 2020, Nikita and her family began putting pressure on Atul for financial support. They asked him for expensive gifts for her mother and demanded that he invest in her brother’s cloud kitchen business.
- Nikita’s family repeatedly demanded large sums of money, running into several lakhs. Atul initially provided the money, but refused to give more.
- In May 2021, Nikita left Atul and their son. Later that year, she filed for divorce but withdrew the case six months later by claiming that she was unaware that her lawyer had filed it.
- During a court hearing in 2021, Nikita demanded a monthly maintenance of Rs. 2 lakh for their son and Rs. 1 lakh for herself.
- In 2022, Nikita filed multiple legal cases against Atul, including domestic violence, unnatural sex, and dowry harassment.
