Accused of hoisting the Indian flag upside down In 2021, a video in which Awadhesh Singh was hoisting the Indian flag upside down on Independence Day went viral. He denied the allegations and claimed that the national anthem had started when he reached the program. He also claimed that it was an edited video and did not show that he got the flag corrected immediately after noticing that it was upside down.
