The joy of motherhood, waiting for nine months to have a new baby to love on, cuddle with, and of course there is the pain of childbirth but it is all worth it. Now your baby is six weeks old and you are getting ready to return to work or just need to get out of the house for a nice evening with your husband, but somehow you cannot seem to find enough time to take a power nap, let alone find time to look good. Mom’s give up so much for their children, including the luxuries that make them beautiful; yet you don’t have to there are some really simple five minute makeovers that you can do to make yourself look and feel better.
How to have a quick five minute makeover
Moisturizer is important, if you want to apply makeup, then look for one with a moisturizer and SPF already built in. Tinted moisturizer is considered one of the best options, especially for Moms who do not have a lot of time to get ready. Next makeup experts suggest using a stick concealer to cover up any blemishes, for more color on your cheeks try using a cream blusher, and if you want to draw attention to your eyes uses at mascara at least even if you don’t have time to apply other eye liner the mascara will help. Makeup isn’t the only way that you can make you look more refreshed, sometimes wearing a special necklace or putting on a pair of earing’s can really help make you look and feel better. Dressing up your wardrobe might be all you need.
Looking better than ever with a newborn
It takes a while to lose the weight, that doesn’t mean you have to settle for wearing your maternity clothing or sweats while you wait to lose the weight. You have a couple options, buying some second hand clothing that is a size or two bigger than what you normally wear will give you the opportunity to dress in normal clothing while you lose the weight, without over extending your budget. You might just buy one or two dressier outfits, after all the goal is going to be getting back down to your pre-pregnancy weight.
Taking some you time
It is important to take your time. Whether you and your husband run up to the grocery store just the two of you or you leave the baby with him and go out for a couple hours. No matter what, the key to feeling better, sexier and more beautiful lies in being able to spend some you time. Before you return to work even, it’s hard to leave the baby, but taking an hour for you will help you in the long run feel okay with going back to work, especially if you do it on your terms.
Hair, nails, makeup
Not all new moms can afford to get their hair, nails and makeup done. If you can afford it go for it, even if you get a sister, sister in law or best friend to help you do an at home makeover, having a girls night in with the baby and doing your hair nails and makeup can do a lot for your self-esteem and make the transition into new motherhood all that much easier.
