In 2021, Giovanna Jacobina had an appointment with braider Patricia Alves to braid her hair. But she failed to reach on time and after waiting for 37 minutes, Alves canceled the appointment. Jacobina got angry and insulted Alves on Instagram, sending her abusive messages. Though Alves told her that she did not tolerate delays and was sick. But Jacobina kept sending insulting DMs. Alves later filed a criminal complaint against Jacobina and demanded R$5000 in compensation. The case was listed in the 1st Criminal Court of the Jacarepaguá Region. On 2 February 2022, Judge Marco JM Couto transferred the case to Special Criminal Court. Though Jacobina wasn’t present in the hearing, her team followed up on the case. She claimed that became angry as she had many professional contracts along with Christmas and New Year and also apologized to Alves but she filed a lawsuit.
