In 2016, he surrounded the Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan after a conference and had a heated argument with him over not being invited to the conference. He further claimed that the Ratlam constituency was being discriminated against by the state government and the officials.
• Booked for ‘inaugurating’ a government college
In 2018, he was booked for inaugurating a government medical college in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, a day before it was suposed to be organsed by the then CM of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
• Violated the COVID-19 guidelines
In 2020, a case was registered against him and his son along with several Congress workers for violating the COVID-19 guidelines by conducting a conference in a private marriage garden.

In 2022, an FIR was registered against Kantilal, and his son, Vikrant Bhuria, under serious sections of assault and kidnapping. Congress leader, Mahesh Patel, accused Kantilal Bhuria to have assaulted his son and had attempted to kidnap him.
• Remarks about the wife of PM Narendra Modi
In 2023, a video went viral in which he spoke about PM Narendra Modi’s wife and said,
“He talks about working for women, but his own wife is wandering here and there in sadness.”
• Compared PM Narendra Modi to Saddam Hussein
In 2023, he gave a statement in which he called PM Narendra Modi a Hitler like ruler and compared him to Iraq’s dictator, Saddam Hussein, and said,
“If BJP has its way then one day they will make Narendra Modi like Iraq’s dictator Saddam Hussein and Hitler’s rule will prevail in the country.”
• Remarked men with two wives will get Rs 2 lakh
In May 2024, he gave a speech before the Lok Sabha elections in which he stated that the men with two wives will get Rs. 2 lakh annualy under his party’s Mahalaxmi scheme if they come to power. The remark was heavily criticised by the opposition party, BJP.
