Some Lesser Known Facts About Karn Shah

• Karan and his brother Mihir & were cursed with a fatal disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy at birth, both were wheelchair-bound, his brother was his biggest support, as he too was disabled but unfortunately, he passed away when he was 14.

• After Karn’s brother died, the incident made a huge impact on Karn’s mental health and he went into depression due to which he left his schooling. He started getting thoughts that one day he would die the same way his brother did. His life changed when a dog came into his life which was gifted to him by their family friend.

• In 2017, One day while travelling Karn had to pee when he realised no public bathrooms in Mumbai were wheelchair accessible. He decided to take up this initiative and made a list of all public bathrooms in Mumbai. He met with the local BMC authorities and ensured that every area had at least 1 accessible bathroom. For this, he won the Bharat Prerna Award.

• Karn runs a firm Pawsitivve Future, where they conduct therapy sessions via dogs for people who need it.

• In 2025, Karn appeared as a contestant on the show India’s Got Latent.
