• Kim Raver started acting at age six in the children’s television series Sesame Street (1975-1978), aired on Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). In an interview, she mentioned her memory of playing football with professional football quarterback Joe Namath on the sets of Sesame Street.

• After completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Boston University in 1991, she appeared in some commercial advertisements and Broadway plays.

• Some of her remarkable appearances in Broadway productions are in the play Holiday by Phillip Barry alongside veteran actors Laura Linney and Tony Goldwyn and The Glimmer Brothers with John Spencer and David Schwimmer at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

• Some of the films she acted in were Mind the Gap (2004) as Vicki Walters, Night at the Museum (2006) as Erica Daley, and The Braid (2023) as Sarah.

• Some of her prominent roles in the television industry are as Audrey Raines in 24 in Seasons 4 and 5 from 2005 to 2007 on Fox Network, Kathryn Hale in The Nine (2006-2007) on ABC Network, and Nico Reilley in Lipstick Jungle (2008-2009) on NBC Network.

• She has been appearing on ABC network as the cardiothoracic surgeon, Theodora Grace Altman (Dr Teddy Altman) in Grey’s Anatomy since season 6 (2009).

• She was the voice actor for the role of Captain Marvel in the animation film Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors (2018).

• She has also appeared as Dr Teddy Altman in the television series Station 19 (2020-2023), a spin-off to Grey’s Anatomy.

• She is an animal lover and often features pictures of her pets Peanut (a Maltese) and Lulu (a Schnoodle) on her social media accounts. She has also been associated with a non-profit organization, Maeday Rescue in Los Angeles in rescuing street and shelter animals.
