- Koneti Adimulam hails from a family of agriculturists.
- From a young age, Koneti was motivated by a desire to serve others, which led him to establish the Ambedkar Society in 1975.
- In 2014, he contested the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections on a ticket from Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) from the Satyavedu constituency. However, he lost the seat to the TDP candidate Talari Aditya by a margin of 4,227 votes.
- He won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections from the Satyavedu constituency by defeating Jadda Rajasekhar, a TDP candidate, with a margin of 44,744 votes.
- In 2024, when the YSR Congress Party did not allow him to contest in the Assembly elections, they offered him a spot to run for the Tirupati MP seat, but he refused. Following this, he switched to the Telugu Desam Party, which nominated him as their candidate for the Satyavedu (SC) MLA seat.
- On 5 September 2024, the TDP suspended Koneti after a woman party worker accused him of sexually assaulting her repeatedly in room no 109 at the Tirupati Bhimas Paradise Hotel. She claimed he threatened to kill her family and provided a pen camera footage as evidence to support her accusations.
