In 2024, she was expelled from 2024 Summer Olympic Games for creating an inappropriate atmosphere. According to sources, she sneaked out of the Olympic Games athlete’s village to visit Disneyland Paris instead of supporting her team members which eventually led to her expulsion. The head of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee stated that her presence was creating an inappropriate atmosphere within Team Paraguay and requested Luana’s departure from the team.
