Some Lesser Known Facts About Manvita Kamath

She started her career as a radio jockey at Radio Mirchi and switched to acting with the Kannada film Kendasampige (2015), directed by Duniya Soori.
Apart from her acting skills, she possessed qualities that Duniya Soori was looking for in his lead– the ability to drive long distances and know Kannada thoroughly.
Manvita Harish was well versed in Mangalore Kannada, Malnad Kannada, Dharwad Kannada, and Bengaluru Kannada, which became an advantage.

Actor Manvita Kamath and music producer Arun Kumar tied the knot on April 30. Speaking from the midst of setting up their new home, they shared insights into their celebration. “The wedding was everything we envisioned. We opted for traditional ceremonies on April 30 and May 1, preceded by a lively cocktail party on April 29, attended by Sandalwood and Bollywood personalities,” Kamath shares.
The Shiva 143 (2020) actor goes on, “My late mother had always wished for my marriage. After her passing, when I saw Arun’s biodata with the same birthdate as my mother’s, I felt it was fate.”
For Kamath, Arun’s supportive nature was a significant factor. “He’s always been caring and respectful of my opinions, which is rare. Unlike many men I’ve encountered, Arun never undermines me but listens attentively,” she says.
Now residing in Bengaluru, the couple plans to explore creative collaborations. “We aspire to merge our talents — me in music and Arun in filmmaking — to embark on exciting ventures together,” Kamath concludes.
Even though she did not have any connections in the industry, a contact recommended her name to Duniya Soori. She was called for the auditions of Kendasampige and got selected for the lead role.

According to Manvita, her late mother Sujatha Kamath is the one who played cupid between the two.
In an interaction with the Times of India, the 32-year-old actress said, “My matrimonial profile was being shared with friends and family in our community by Amma because it was her biggest dream to see me married.” Manvita added that her mother had interacted with Arun once before succumbing to a kidney-related ailment.
When asked about what made her choose Arun, she said that he shared the same birth date with her mother and is also fond of music. Manvita said that the second thing meant a lot to her since she is an avid music lover.
The year 2023 was a tough one for Manvita as she lost her mother and performed the final day of mourning on April 28, known as Terahvin.
During the ritual, she remembered her mother while carrying out Asthi Visarjan, or the immersion of ashes in water.
Along with dropping a bunch of photos on Instagram, Manvita penned a heartwarming note, expressing her sadness while wishing that her mother finds peace in heaven.
