• After Mia Schem completed schooling, she completed military service in Israel.

• On 7 October 2023, Mia Schem was kidnapped by Hamas during the Re’im music festival in Israel.

• She trained as a tattoo artist before the Hamas militant’s attack incident.

• On the day of her abduction, the Hamas militants shot Mia in the arm and abducted her along with her friend Elia Toledano who was attending the music festival.

• After the killing of 364 civilians in the music festival, 40 hostages were taken to the Gaza Strip.

• On 16 October 2023, Hamas militants released a video of Mia where she was seen describing how the militants operated her wounded arm and the hospitality shown by them.
