Detained in Bengaluru Stampede Case: In June 2025, Nikhil Sosale was arrested in Bengaluru in connection with a stampede outside Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium, where 11 people died and over 50 were injured. The incident occurred during a celebration event for RCB’s IPL win, which drew a massive crowd of nearly 3 lakh people. Sosale, along with event partners from DNA Entertainment, was held responsible for poor planning and lack of crowd control. Sosale later challenged his arrest in the Karnataka High Court, claiming it was illegal and based on political motives without any investigation. |
