• Penn Badgley was born at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was kept in the NICU for a few days.

• He was named after a tennis ball brand called ‘Penn’ that his father was holding while his mother was getting a sonogram.

• Penn first attended Woolridge Elementary School in Virginia, where his mother was the PTA president. He later attended St. Christopher’s School in Richmond, Virginia.
