- Raju Talikote was born in the town of Talikote, located in Vijayapura district, Karnataka. His full name was Rangayana Rajesab Muktamsab Talikote.
- He was later known by his stage name, Raju Talikote. Both his parents were well-known stage artists.
- They ran a drama troupe called “Sreeguru Kaskadeswara Nattiya Sangha,” which performed stage dramas across Karnataka.
- Raju Talikote started acting in stage plays as a child, helping his parents in their drama group. After the death of his parents, he had to leave school early and continue the family’s stage work to earn a living.
- He soon became known for his strong comic timing and for playing drunkard characters in local theatre shows. These roles made him popular among audiences in North Karnataka.
