• Prior to working as an actress Ramya Nambeesan use to host a music show “Hello, Good Evening” which aired on Malayalam channel Kairali TV.

• Ramya started acting when she was just 9 years old.

• She is predominantly known for her work in Tamil and Malayalam films. She has worked in a few Telegu and Kannada films as well.

• She is a trained Carnatic singer. She has sung songs for devotional albums on Chottanikarai Bhagavathi. She has also sung in a few Malayalam films. Ramya sung the Tamil song Fy Fy Fy Kalaichu Fy for the film  Paandiya Naadu (2013) as well as Mama for the film Sakalakala Vallavan (1982).

• She started her career as a child artist and has appeared in a few supporting roles in films like Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka (2001) as Sethulekshmi and Gramophone (2003) as Sachi’s sister.

• Some of her notable work in the films include Malayalam film Chaappa Kurishu (2011). Bachelor Party (2012), and Husbands in Goa (2012),  Megharoopan (2012), Oru Yathrayil (2013).
