Accused of Misbehaviour with a Bengali Actress
In 2024, he was accused by a Bengali actress named Sreelekha Mitra that while filming Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha (2009), she was called to his bedroom once while she was talking to the cinematographer of the film over the phone. She claimed that Ranjith touched her inappropriately which made her feel uncomfortable due to which she left the room. She has also clarified that he did not sexually harass her but his actions would have led to harassment.
