  • In 1989, Saiju Kurup got a television at his home but before that, he and his sister would collect and save money to rent a videocassette recorder and go watch Malayalam films at a family friend’s house who had a television.
  • Before entering the South-Indian film industry, Saiju Kurup used to work at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Limited and he also worked as a sales official at the Telecom company Airtel.
  • When Saiju Kurup was working as a sales official with Airtel company, that is when he met singer MG Sreekumar for some official work. When Sreekumar asked Saiju whether he would like to act, Saiju said yes and that’s how he entered the film industry.
  • Initially, Saiju Kurup was not passionate about acting but as and when he moved forward with it, he started finding deeper interest in the same.
