• He grew up on Downham Avenue in Great Harwood. His father was the bank manager of the NatWest in Blackburn.

• He got his first job working in a cemetery when he was 15. He joined Blackburn Arts Club and then Manchester Youth Theatre at 17.

• He is an actor known for Hotel Babylon (2006), Touché, and Emmerdale Farm (1972).

• Pinder is popular for his role in the soap opera Brookside (1990). He portrayed the character of Max Farnham in the series from 1990 to 2003.

• After Pinder left Brookside, he took part in various theatre roles, including Laurence in Abigail’s Party and later appearing in a psychological thriller called Dead Certain.

• He Played a printer’s apprentice in the ITV series Foxy Lady (1982).

• In 1986, he broke a shoulder in a skiing accident.

• He appeared portraying Doctor Dillamond in the West End production, having returned to the role on 24th October 2023.
