Controversy	• Accused of Sexual Exploitation In 2018, Indian actress Sri Reddy accused several Telugu A-list actors as well as producers and directors of demanding sexual favours in exchange of roles in films and one of them was Sundar C. She made a Facebook post where she took the director’s name; however, Sundar denied all allegations made by the actress. He also said that he will take legal action against her for making false claims.

Some Lesser Known Facts About Sundar C

Sundar C began his career as an assistant director to the Tamil filmmaker Manivannan.

He adopted the name ‘Sundar C’ as his professional name on his father’s recommendation.

In 1993, Sundar made a cameo appearance in the Tamil thriller film titled ‘Moondravadhu Kann’ in which he played the character of a studio assistant.

In 1995, during his directorial debut, Sundar C cast actress Khushbu in the film and that’s how they met. They both fell in love during the shoot and eventually started dating and got married in the year 2000.

In 1998, Sundar C wrote and directed the Tamil romantic comedy film titled ‘Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar.’

In 2006, Sundar C was cast in the Tamil gangster action film titled ‘Thalai Nagaram’ which was his lead debut film. He played the character of Subramaniam alias Right in the film. He was also cast in the sequel of this film titled ‘Thalainagaram 2’ in 2023.
