- He has been a film enthusiast since his childhood.
- He wanted to become a film director when he was 14 years old but never told his parents.
- He is considered to be one of the highest-paid directors of South Indian cinema.
- He earned his M.Sc. degree from Andhra University within 15 months from the University and was rewarded with the gold medal for his performance.
- According to Trivikram Srinivas, he used to watch a film every day while studying at Andhra University.
- He is an avid reader and enjoys reading books on various topics.
- He worked as a teacher and taught Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics to the students of classes 9 and 10 in a school located at Bheemavaram.
- He moved to Hyderabad after completing his post-graduation and worked as a tutor.
- While working as a tutor, he continued to look for a job in the film industry and met Ganapathi Rao Kommanapalli.
- Kommanapalli advised him to send his hand-written story, ‘Road’ to the Andhra Jyothy magazine, which became Trivikram’s first published story.
- After Trivikram’s request, Kommanapalli allowed him to work along with him as a writer on the Telugu film, ‘Merupu’ (1996) but warned him that the producer would not pay Trivikram for his work.
- After working for 10 days on the film, he discontinued the work as the location of the shooting changed and he couldn’t move there due to lack of funds.
- He shares a good friendship with actor Sunil Varma. They both lived together after renting a room in Punjagutta, Hyderabad.
- The room was further shared with film directors, Ravindra Prasad Patnaik and Gunasekhar.
- Sunil introduced him to actor Goutham Raju and he became a tutor to the children of Goutham.
- Goutham Raju helped Trivikram meet the producers of the Telugu film, ‘Akka! Bagunnava?’ (1996) who asked Trivikram to write a climax for the film.
- His version of the climax was liked by the film’s writer Posani Krishna Murali, who later completed the film.
- He then worked as a writer for an ETV program conducted by Goutham Raju.
- He took a salary of Rs. 3000 from the program and went to Chennai to meet Posani Krishna Murali for the second time and worked for him as an assistant writer.
- He worked with him for 20 months as a writer before pursuing a career as a director.
- He would often visit the cafe, ‘Try Luck’ in Hyderabad and meet directors and actors such as Chandra Siddhartha, Gopimohan, Dasaradh, and Venu Thottempudi who were still struggling at the time to discuss various opportunities in films.
- He then met with director K. Vijaya Bhaskar and narrated the story of the film ‘Swayamvaram’ (1999). In an interview, he talked about how after summing the story in one dialogue, Bhasker insisted on him writing the dialogues for the film and said,
I have told the dialogue ‘Prema ane swargam nundi 7 adugula dooramlo vunde narakame pelli’ as the gist to the story. After listening to this, Vijay Bhaskar insisted that I should pen dialogues for this movie.”
- After the release of the film ‘Swayamvaram,’ he felt that he wasn’t getting any interesting offers and went back to his hometown Bhimavaram where he lived for one and a half months.
- ‘Computerlu’ for the film, ‘Nuvve Nuvve’ (2002) is the only song he has sung in his career. In an interview, he talked about how he came to sing the song due to the shortage of time and lack of availability of singers and said,
Actually the chorus singers were rehearsing the song so many times while the main singers waited in the lounge, and by the time the chorus singers were ready, it was past midnight and the main singers left. Thus, Koti gaaru and I sang it without an option as the recording had to be done that day itself.”
- He has been a part of several hit films including ‘Nuvvu Naaku Nachav’ (2001), ‘Jalsa’ (2008), ‘S/O Satyamurthy’ (2015), ‘A Aa’ (2016), ‘ Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ (2020), and ‘Bheemla Nayak’ (2022).
- He returned 40% of his remunerations to the producers for ‘Khaleja’ (2010) to get the film completed and released.
- As of 2016, he continued to pay the rent for his room in Punjagutta, Hyderabad, that he had shared with actor Sunil Varma. Trivikram often visits the room and writes his stories and dialogues there.
- In an interview in 2022, he expressed regret in incorporating patriarchy in his films and claimed that his past work feels illogical to him. He said,
Returning to my initial essay, I wrote that a man’s only option is to get a job, just as a woman’s is to get married. This is so wrong to define someone’s life based on gender. I introspect. We have created this ideology of patriarchy, with a musical grammar in the movies, and hence is difficult to change. But, it needs to change.”
